About

This blog is a platform for me to write about the things that are important to me. So, anything pertaining to health, fitness, eating well, and enjoying the outdoors will probably feature fairly frequently. However, there’s more to me than that, so I’ll also get a bit deep and meaningful from time to time and write about the ‘bigger’ stuff. Stuff like living honourably, and the pursuit of true happiness and fulfilment in life.

If you’re wondering whether this is a blog you might be interested in following, well that’s your decision to make. I’ll try and help you out by telling you a little bit about myself.

After seeing a reasonable amount of the world, living in a few different cities in New Zealand, studying lots, and collecting a random assortment of work experiences, I’ve found myself back in the very valley I grew up in, living right next door to my childhood home. I didn’t plan it this way, but it’s a very beautiful corner of the world and I’m happy to be here.

In case you’re wondering about the name of this blog, Pumba’s a nickname I was given by my fellow O’Reccers (Outdoor Recreation students) quite a few years back. Not because I’m fat or look like a warthog or fart constantly, but because I used to graze on edible leaves when we were out in the bush. I do have a few more flattering nicknames such as Amberlicious and Ambergini, but I like Pumba best.

Please enjoy my blog and feel free to comment away to your heart’s content.
